Gaylord, Michigan, at the age of 92.
Born on June 10, 1933, to Carl A. and Maude Bergmann in
East Jordan, Michigan, Judy's life was a tapestry of love, creativity, and dedication to her family. Judy's journey through life was marked by her warm, loving nature and her boundless spirit. She was the heart and soul of her family, a role she cherished deeply. Her marriage to the late Jerry Wallace Morey was a testament to true partnership and mutual respect. Together, they navigated life's challenges and joys, leaving a legacy of love and strength.
Although she faced the immeasurable pain of losing her husband and her son Jerry Lynn Morey, Judy's resilience and grace never wavered Judy was a devoted mother to her surviving children, Donald Eric Morey, Tanya Martice LaPointe (married to Ronnie LaPointe), Billie Gordon Morey (married to Suzan Morey), Hellena Dawnette Rocheleau (married to Glenn Rocheleau), Cindy Lee Campbell (married to Kevin Campbell), and Shawn Marie Johnson (married to Simon Johnson), as well as 23 grandchildren, 46 Great grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren. Each of her children was a unique reflection of Judy's loving spirit, and she instilled in them the values of compassion, hard work, and the importance of family.
Throughout her life, Judy was known for her artistic touch and her skillful hands. She worked as a candy maker, where her sweet creations brought joy to many. Additionally, Judy served as a caregiver, a role that allowed her to extend her nurturing nature beyond her immediate family. Her passion for quilting was more than a hobby; it was an expression of her artistry, with each stitch carrying a piece of her story and love. In retirement, Judy found her passion for sales and community. "Judy's Pie Shack" and sweet cherry stand are known far and wide for her famously delicious pies and the beautiful lady who was a friend to all.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Judy found solace and excitement in hunting, camping, and gardening. These activities were more than pastimes; they were opportunities for bonding, teaching, and creating memories that her family will treasure forever. Judy's love for the natural world was only matched by her love for her family, with whom she shared countless adventures under the open sky. Judy's friends and acquaintances knew her as a friendly and spirited individual, always ready with a smile, a kind word, and a cup of coffee. Her presence was a source of comfort and joy to all who knew her. Judy's zest for life and her ability to connect with people from all walks of life made her a cherished member of her community.
