Robert "Bobby" White, 69, of Charlestown passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at his home. He was born in Louisville on July 21, 1956, to the late William and Florence White.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Misty; his daughters, Amy (Wil) and Sydney; and his sons, Todd and Gavin. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Gabriel, Lily, Elijah, and Solomon; his brother, Tony; his sisters, Pam and Mary Ellen; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Billy McGee. Last but not least, he leaves behind his beloved companions, Tupelo Honey, Boots, and Oscar the Girl.
Bob was a prankster, instigator and brought laughter to those around him. He was a good friend to many and a very loved family member. He retired from LG&E in 2019 after 39 years of service. While there he worked in many areas, including being the original Louie the Lightning Bug. No matter the department or role, he brought joy and fun to the workplace. He spent his retirement in his dream home in the woods fishing, beating his wife in cards (so he said), taking his grandchildren on hikes and cave tours, playing pinochle with his friends and spending time with family. Bob brought laughter as well as a special wisdom that touched many people whether at work or play. He is and was dearly loved by many.
Visitation will be at Grayson Funeral Home, 893 High Street, Charlestown on Sunday, December 28 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm with his Celebration of Life beginning at 2:00 pm. Following the service, family and friends are invited to return to Bob's home to share stories and fellowship.
Memories of Bob and messages of support for the family can be shared at www.GraysonFuneralHome.com.
