Robert E. Boeckel

Robert E. Boeckel, age 98, of Spring Grove, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2024 at his home. He was the loving husband of the late Ruth N. (Ehrhart) Boeckel who passed away on January 24, 2006; together they shared 59 years of marriage.
Robert was born in York County on March 22, 1926 and was the son of the late William and Mary (Gunnett) Boeckel. He worked as a brick layer and stone mason until his retirement in 1988. Later, Robert and his wife Ruth owned and operated Okete Antiques in Stoverstown and enjoyed selling their antiques at local shows. Robert also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.
Robert is survived by his children Carol Landis and Scott Boeckel and wife Connie; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother William Boeckel.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Robert's life will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 11:00AM at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of Spring Grove, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, PA 17362 with Rev. Dr. Bradley H. Dayett officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest next to his wife at St. Paul's Union Cemetery in Stoverstown. A viewing will be held on Monday from 10:00AM – 11:00AM at the funeral home prior to the service.
