Robert Bois Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Peabody Funeral Home - Londonderry on May 24, 2024.
Robert W. "Bob" Bois, 67, of Londonderry, NH died suddenly/unexpectedly Wednesday May 22, 2024 at his home. Bob was born in Nashua, NH on September 8, 1956, a son of the late Roger and Rita (Levesque) Bois. He was raised in Nashua, and had lived in Hudson before moving to Londonderry 28 years ago.
Bob was a jack of all trades, working in industries ranging from the tannery to the ice cream stand. In his early adulthood, his jobs brought him cross-country to the West Coast. After settling back in NH, he worked for 32 years at Rolling Meadows Condominiums where he was the Maintenance Director until retiring. He continued to work part time with Garside Sewer and Septic in his retirement.
Beloved by his family, friends, and neighbors, Bob was known for his geniality and warmth. He gave freely of his time and a helping hand whenever needed. He was characterized boisterous humor and quick smile. Whether it was singing "St. Alphonso's Pancake Breakfast" as he came down the stairs in the morning, telling his favorite jokes-even if we all already knew the punchline, or announcing a "violation of the penal code -I29-235," he imbued our lives with levity.
Bob's hobbies included snowmobiling and fishing, greeting the New England wilderness with a his familiar declaration of "this is God's country." He could often be found tinkering in his workshop on one of his many projects. He also delighted in the simple things like smoking some pot and patting his kitty, Mr. Pants.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jeanne (L'Heureux) Bois of Londonderry, two daughters, Michela Hites of Londonderry, and Danielle Hites and her husband Campbell of Salisbury, MA, his sister-in-law, Noreen Bois of Nashua, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Bois, and by his sister, Susan McAuley.
Bob will be remembered for wearing his heart on his sleeve, for his jovial nature, for his willingness to help. But most of all, he will be remembered for how deeply he loved. It is with heavy hearts and bittersweet gratitude that we reflect on all the ways he enriched our lives.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 4th from 1:00pm – 3:30pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A memorial service will be follow at 3:30pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Groveton Trailblazers Snowmobile Club or the NH Humane Society.

So sad to hear this. Too many great times we had together to mention just one. Bob was one of the "final 4" of our neighborhood and will be greatly missed. Bob was a great friend and neighbor. Always there to lend a hand. RIP my friend until we meet again.
