Robert Bonfiglio Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Baldauff Family Funeral Home and Crematory - Orange City on Feb. 14, 2026.
Robert, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, in Orange City, FL at the age of 81.

Born on January 8, 1945, in Manhattan, New York, Robert lived a life defined by devotion to his family, who meant everything to him. He was a steady presence, a protector, a provider, and a man whose love showed up not only in words, but in action. If you needed him, he was there-without hesitation and without question.

Robert was deeply dedicated to his recovery and to helping others through theirs. His journey was one of perseverance and courage, and he used his experience to lift others up, offering encouragement, understanding, and hope. He had a generous spirit that knew no limits. His kindness was genuine, instinctive, and constant. Robert was hilarious and loved telling stories-some polished a bit for dramatic effect-but always delivered with perfect timing and a twinkle in his eye. His laughter was contagious, and his storytelling brought people together, often leaving them smiling long after the tale had ended.

Smart and clever, Robert had an uncanny ability to come up with a solution no matter what life threw at him. Challenges did not intimidate him; they motivated him. He approached life with determination and creativity, never backing down from what needed to be done.

In his free time, Robert enjoyed staying connected through social media, where he kept up with friends and family and shared his humor and insights. He had a strong interest in firearms and appreciated the responsibility, discipline, and respect that came with them. Above all, one of his greatest passions was helping others-whether through advice, encouragement, or simply showing up when someone needed support.

He was "Strong like bull," but beneath that strength was a heart of gold. He felt deeply, loved fiercely, and cared wholeheartedly for those around him.

Robert leaves to cherish the memories of his life; children, Kristina, Jen, Denise, and Daniel; sisters, Lucille and Barbara; his beloved grandchildren and his great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends that will miss him dearly.

Robert's life was a testament to resilience, generosity, humor, and unwavering love for family. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

May his strength inspire us, his laughter echo in our memories, and his love guide us always.

In honor of Robert's life and generous spirit, the family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, a cause dedicated to supporting injured veterans and their families.
