Robert "Bob" Borchardt – The Legend

May 11, 1963 – August 25, 2025

Robert "Bob" Borchardt, of Waukesha, age 62, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 25, 2025. His sudden passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of his family and friends who loved him dearly.

Born on May 11, 1963, in Wittenberg, Wisconsin, Bob was the son of the late Raymond and Isabelle (Sickler) Borchardt. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was married to his beloved wife Laurie (Gilboy) Borchardt on September 9, 1995. They shared over 30 years of love and partnership, and together they built a family that was Bob's greatest pride and joy. He was a loving and supportive father to Allison, Arin, Jacob (Angie), and Isabel, who will forever cherish his guidance, humor, and unconditional love.

Bob is further survived by his siblings: Ron (Bev) Borchardt of Manitowoc, Mike (Dar) Borchardt and Jim Borchardt, both of Wittenberg, Sue Bushman of Weston, Mary (Dave) Dahlman of Menasha, and Allen (JoAnn) Borchardt of Eland.

Bob had many passions that brought him joy throughout his life. He was an avid golfer, gardener, and photographer, finding peace in the outdoors and capturing the beauty around him. He loved football and baseball, cheering passionately for his favorite teams. Music was also close to his heart-he was a skilled guitarist who previously played in a band. Bob also had a long-term career where he worked as a salesman until 2019. Above all, he was a man who valued time with his family and friends, whether at home, on the course, or around the dinner table.

Those who knew Bob will remember his witty humor, easy smile, and warm hugs. With his trademark sense of fun, he often liked to call himself "Legend"-a nickname that captured his lively spirit and the way he made lasting impressions on everyone he met. He was a hard worker who provided for his family for many years, and a strong soul that will forever be loved and never forgotten.

A memorial visitation will be held for Bob on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 noon, all at Hales Corners Lutheran Church, 12300 West Janesville Road, Hales Corners, Wisconsin 53130.

In honor of Bob's love for the Milwaukee Brewers, his brothers ask that all attending wear Brewers shirts to celebrate his life and the team he so proudly cheered for. For those who prefer, dressing more formally is also welcomed.

Bob's life was a gift to those who knew him, and though his time here ended too soon, his love and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends. To them, he will always be remembered simply as "The Legend."
