Robert Joseph Boulineau, 81, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, peacefully entered into his eternal home early Sunday morning, November 9, 2025, at Cambridge Acute Post Care in Snellville. Born on October 22, 1944, Robert will be remembered for his love of people and the joy he brought into the lives of those around him.
Growing up in the Matthews-Stellaville-Wrens area of Jefferson County, Robert graduated in 1962 from Wrens High School. His passion for helping others led him to pursue nursing education at Swainsboro Tech, where he began his career in health care. It was during this time that he met Thelma, his first wife, with whom he shared many wonderful years before her passing.
After their marriage, Robert worked at Hadden's IGA for many years, later operating a chalk truck locally. Through life’s challenges, including the loss of his first wife, Robert's resilience shone through when he met Judy. Their union brought him joy and led him to Dahlonega, where Robert dedicated 16 years to driving a school bus. His commitment to the community continued despite the challenges he faced, including the loss of his right eye, after which he served as a school monitor until his retirement.
Robert was a man with a tender heart, deeply caring for others, especially children and those with special needs. His innate warmth allowed him to connect effortlessly with people, never meeting a stranger. He was known for his kindness and consideration, and his genuine interest in others was evident in each conversation.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Robert enjoyed spending his free time cultivating beautiful yards, showcasing his green thumb with pride. He found joy in fishing and engaging in woodworking projects in his shop, pursuits that brought him peace and fulfillment.
Robert is survived by his devoted wife, Judy McElduff Boulineau; his children, Robert Boulineau Jr. (Amanda), Becky Morris, Teddy Vernon (Lora), Lisa Nash (Johnny), and Bryant Moose (Lisa); as well as eight grandchildren—Stephanie Boulineau, Brandon Morris, Winston Tindall, T J Vernon (Kayla), Stephen Vernon (Courtney), Chastity Vernon, Austin Nash, Amy M. Campbell (Derek), Megan Moose and Dustin Moose. He also leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren; his sister, Patsy Boulineau McNair; and a host of nieces, nephews, other extended family, and friends who will carry forward his legacy of love.
He is preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Thelma Jarrard Boulineau; his parents, Lucille Newsome Boulineau and Joseph Myers Boulineau; and siblings, Ronald Boulineau and Bonnie Forbes.
A graveside service honoring Robert Joseph Boulineau will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Ways Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Don Cummings officiating.
Robert’s impact on the lives he touched will be felt long after his passing, as his spirit will continue to inspire kindness and compassion in the hearts of those who knew him.
