On December 6, 2025 Robert Boura, 72, left his earthly body to be welcomed by the Savior he has loved and served for so long.
Bob most loved taking walks and riding motorcycles with his bride, hosting PapCamp and family get-togethers, holding his great grandchildren, volunteering for Eight Days of Hope disaster relief, and being involved in Valley Community Church. He enjoyed working in his shop with his son and grandchildren, camping, building, Gaston Small Group, vacations with friends, and maintaining his country property.
He had a long career of 30 plus years as a truckdriver for Preston Trucking, Roadway, and others earning multiple safe driving and million mile awards.
Bob is saving a seat at The Table for his beloved wife of 52 years Katheryn “Skeeter” Mayerchak Boura; his children Angela (Jed) Boura Gudzinas, Aaron (Jenni) Boura, and Harry (Judy) Gough; twenty grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
There are no words to thank our family and friends, Gaston Small Group, and our Valley church family for their love and support throughout this difficult journey.
Bob’s wonderful, crooked smile, his unending devotion to Jesus Christ, and his unconditional love for his family will be deeply missed. He fought the good fight. He finished his course. He kept the faith.
Well done, Bob.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Saturday December 20 at Valley Community Church, Weldon, NC with visitation at 11:00 and service at 12 Noon. Dinner will follow at the Boura’s home in Lawrenceville, VA.
Arrangements are being handled by Williams Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, VA. In lieu of flowers, Bob’s request was for donations in his memory to Eight Days Of Hope at eightdaysofhope.com.
