Robert Ragland Bowen, 51, of Corydon, Indiana, was a devoted husband and a deeply cherished member of his family. He shared a meaningful bond with his wife, Samantha Bowen, and their time together was marked by deep love, understanding, and connection. Robert grew up surrounded by family and carried those close bonds throughout his life.
He is survived by his brothers, Phillip Weaver (Leslie) of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and Joseph Ragland of Martins Ferry, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dallas Hollrah, Dallas Hollrah Jr., and William Ragland.
Robert is also survived by his sisters, Barbara Thompson of Houston, Texas; Lisa Simon Ladd (Lee) of Corydon, Indiana; Robin Hollrah Bolings of Georgetown, Indiana; Nikki Estep-Loy (Brian) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and Carina Westendorph (Jeremy) of Corydon, Indiana; his niece and nephew, Bethany Garrow (Daniel) and Robert John Ladd; and Samantha's daughter, Addyson Bowen.
A creative soul, Robert was passionate about writing and poured his imagination into books that reflected his insight and compassion. He will be remembered for his steadfast love for family, his generous spirit, and the unwavering support he offered to everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9-10:30 a.m. at E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home.
