Robert Brake Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Greenlawn Funeral Home North on Dec. 23, 2025.
Robert Dale Brake, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on December 20, 2025. He was born on October 24, 1955 in Springfield, Missouri, to Moloy and Barbara Brake.
Robert proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years and was honorably discharged in 1976. Following his service, he spent much of his working life as a truck driver hauling cars, a career he took great pride in and continued for as long as he was able before retiring.
An avid outdoorsman, Robert loved deer hunting and was always willing to travel wherever a deer season was open nearby. He was also a devoted baseball fan, especially of the Springfield Cardinals. He was extremely proud to be a Cardinals Red Pass member and rarely missed a game. In addition, Robert had a passion for motorcycles and enjoyed riding many different bikes over the years, never keeping one for too long before another caught his eye.
On December 7, 1985, Robert married the love of his life, Betty, and together they built a life centered on faith and family. They attended Sac River Cowboy Church in Springfield, Missouri. Robert deeply loved his family and was known for his humor, even in difficult moments. He was unapologetically real, famously stubborn, and always true to himself.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Moloy and Barbara Brake, and his brother, Darrel Brake.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Brake; his children, Tony and his spouse Jennifer, Kelly and her spouse Atlas, Stacy, and Carrie and her spouse Joe; his grandchildren, Kristena, Tori, Shaley, Cody, Macy, Branden, Aden, Chloe, Addison, Jaxon, Cooper, and Jace; his great-grandchildren, Jalen, O'Shae, Autumn, and Griffin; and his sisters, Carol and Debbie.
Robert Dale Brake will be remembered for his loyalty, humor, strong spirit, and deep love for his family, faith, and the things that brought him joy.
