Robert Briseno Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 26, 2025.
Robert Briseño, a lifelong resident of Fort Worth, Texas, passed peacefully into the arms of his Savior on February 21, 2025. Born on March 24, 1950, Robert lived a life filled with love, faith, and cherished memories.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Sophie Briseño, and his brother, David.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Belinda; his devoted sons, Stephen (wife, Kayla) and Matthew (wife, Annie); his loving daughter, Mary Ray (husband, Derek); his adored granddaughters, Zinnia and Sophie; his sister, Gloria Briseño Woods; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In his youth, Robert excelled in football, playing right tackle for the Trimble Tech Bulldogs. He was a key member of the school's historic 1966 team, which achieved the most wins in a single season in the school's history. Following his studies at UT-Arlington, Robert dedicated over 20 years of service as a United States postman. After retiring, he continued to serve his community as an aide at Chisholm Trail High School in Eagle Mountain Independent School District in Saginaw, Texas.
A true friend to all, Robert found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a die-hard TCU football fan, relished spending time with friends and family, and enjoyed spirited games of Mexican Train and gin rummy. Robert's passion for music was undeniable. He possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of tunes from his childhood and teenage years, recalling details with remarkable accuracy.
In addition to being a loving husband and father, Robert was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, which shaped everything about him. He shared his unwavering faith with everyone he encountered, leaving a lasting impact on those around him. While he will be missed, we know that he is rejoicing in heaven.
A special thank you to Dr. Lohrey, Dr. Barker, and their staff who helped Robert in his final years.
A viewing will be held on Friday, February 28th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mount Olivet Funeral Home, located at 2301 N Sylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76111. Belinda and family. My dearest condones to you and your family. I knew "Bobby" since the nuns would pick us up from elementary school to go to catechism classes, then most of us went to Tech High school. We were no longer kids but teenagers. We all had fond memories in our neighborhood growing up and knowing each others families and always nice seeing each other. We got married and went our separate ways but to this day we still keep track of each other. I am so sorry that I was not able to attend his service but he has been in my prayers and your family too. God Bless., Ana Alvarado Todd.
