I was so sorry to hear of Bob Burchette passing. He was such a sweet and caring man. I was fortunate to be able to share the stage with him in many plays. Bob was my idol and I would always audition for plays whenever possible just to be on stage with him.

Bob´s Amazing soul and voice will always resonate throughout the walls of Eastern Shore Chapel. He made the Scriptures come alive and resonate in the hearts of all who heard him.
Now his voice will thunder in heaven. I miss him so.
With my love and blessings, Heidi

I was lucky enough to share the stage with Bob in a production at the Little Theater of Virginia Beach many years ago. He was a joy to work with and I will miss hearing him read at church. My condolences to the family.

I really enjoyed listening to him read or talk. His voice was wonderful! My condolences to his family, especially Bev. I'm sure the Lord has plenty of acting roles for Bob!

Bob was a valued and dedicated reader for The WHRO Voice reading service for the blind and vision impaired. His dignified presence over the air provided many vision impaired members across Hampton Roads with a friendly voice reconnecting them again with their local papers and community. He and his co-reader, Shirley Robertson, shared the mike for many years highlighting the news from The Virginian Pilot. Shirley passed away in 2021. Thank you Bob for your service and guiding presence as a member of our volunteer reading team.

Bob was a beloved friend with whom I had a long friendship and many laughs. I have loved Bob and his wife Bev for 50 years and we shared many experiences and fun experiences supporting each other in times of happiness and sadness. May he RIP and may Bev find comfort in this message.

Bob was my go to resident at Atlantic Shores for many years. He chaired the ground committee and we did monthly tours for years. His gentle soul and overall personality drew me to him. He was a leader and a father figure to many. We had countless conversations regarding his garden and love of nature. I am a better person having know him. Thank you Bob. God Bless and God Speed.

I worked for Bob in 1982 as a sales manager in Baltimore. Bob was a great leader with an excellent sense of humor. I gave great memories of attending his staff meetings in Virginia Beach including dinners at Steinhilber's Restaurant.
