Larry William Burchette, age 80, of Moscow, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday morning, October 23, 2025. He was born on April 7, 1945, in Moscow, Tennessee, to the late Boyd Burchette and Anna McClure. After the passing of his father, he was lovingly raised by John Matheson.
Larry is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Jackie Burchette; three daughters, Tammy Burchette (Wayne), Tonya Warren (Keith), and April Warren (Joshua); three sons, Richard Burchette (Ann), Charles Burchette, and Larry Burchette II (Lindsey); two sisters, Paula Campbell and Beverly Hamm; and one brother, Stanley Matheson.
He was a proud grandfather to Tiffany Luthe, Tabitha Perkins, Amanda Perkins, Christian Burchette, Belinda Griffith, Aaron Burnette, Austin Burnette, Bristol Burchette, Easton Burchette, Emilee Burchette, Alianna Burchette, Aria Burchette, Heather Burchette, Devin Scott, Joshua Warren, Jordan Warren, Joseph Warren, and Amaya Warren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: three brothers, Boyd Burchette, Jerry Burchette, and Johnny Matheson; three sisters, Mary Lee Hayes, Doris Edwards, and Pat Matheson; and one great-granddaughter, Avery Jones.
Mr. Burchette loved horses, hunting, anything western, and fishing—but most importantly, he loved his family. His greatest joy came from time spent with those he cherished most. He will be remembered for his kind heart, steady presence, and the love he shared with all who knew him.
Pallbearers were Joshua Warren, Austin Burnette, Aaron Burnette, Bradley Hillman, Brian Rivers, and Carter Bledsoe. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua “JJ” Warren and Jordan Warren.
A visitation for Mr. Burchette was held at the Peebles Funeral Home Main Chapel located at 18020 Highway 64, Somerville, Tennessee, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM and funeral services followed at 1:00 PM. and Rev. Vince McCalip officiated the services. Interment followed at Saulsbury Cemetery, 770 Sparkman, Rd., Grand Junction, Tennessee.
Memorials may be sent to the Kirkland Cancer Center.
