Pamela Darlene Johns, age 65, resident of Moscow, Tennessee, departed this life on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at her residence.
Mrs. Johns was born on October 9, 1960, in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Olton Lee “Shorty” Feathers and Lelia Virginia “Sally” Glover Feathers. Pamela attended Elliston Baptist Academy in Memphis, Tennessee and was a life-long member of Elliston Baptist Church. She most recently was a member of the Morris Memorial Baptist Church in Moscow, Tennessee.
She was a dedicated care giver in the medical profession who was passionate in her care giving, often finding joy in helping others. She enjoyed playing and watching softball, was an Alabama football fan and loved Lifetime movies and all John Wayne movies. She was a “Mimi” to her grandchildren, who was full of life and known for her sense of humor. Her most favorite pastimes were spending time with family. Nothing brought her more joy than being around people she loved.
Mrs. Johns is survived by her husband, Ricky Johns; two daughters, Amanda “Mandy” West of Arlington, TN and Michelle Jackson (James Schrank-Blan) of Moscow, TN; her son, Mitchell Sowell (Amanda) of Moscow, TN; three sisters, Ann Smith (Charles) of Williston, TN, Karen White of Williston, TN and Teresa Holloway (Louis Earl) of Columbus, OH; and nine precious grandchildren, Austin, Cameron, Peyton, Skylar, Landon, Matthew, Collyn, Christian, and Paisley. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Sage.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Jackie James.
A Visitation for Ms. Johns will be from 11-1 on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with interment to follow at the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Funeral Services for Ms. Johns will begin at 1 on Wednesday afternoon, March 18, 2026, at Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude’s or Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PANCAN) in her memory.
