Robert Allen Burns, age 66, of Woodward, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025. He was born in Wichita, Kansas on June 30, 1959, to his beloved parents Sylvester L. and Clara B. Burns. He lived his childhood and teenage years in Kansas and his adulthood in Oklahoma. He attended Haysville High School in Haysville, Kansas. He later went on to be a mechanic and worked in the oil field. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to all. He enjoyed working on vehicles, camping, fishing, and riding motorcycles with his son and friends. He could rebuild and fix anything that someone else would think was a lost cause. He lived by the phrase, "One man's junk is another man's treasure." He was always tinkering with his truck which was his prized possession. He had a HUGE heart and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Clara Burns, his wife Cherry Burns, brother Butch Burns and Dean Helfrich; sons Joshua Veach and Michael Hunter. He is survived by his son Sylvester Burns and wife Tasha, daughter Clara Burns and fiancé Curtis, son Butch Burns and his wife Kaylynn, daughter Heather Burns and husband Kalob, daughter Christina Lucas, daughter Angela Hixon and husband Travis, son Corey Breese, daughter Jennifer Johnson, son Brian Reaves and wife Lisa, and grandchildren Robert, Jakobie, Zaxlee, Gracin, Zoey, Jaden, Jasmine, Cameron, Cody, Javien, Brooklyn, Mariska, and several others, great grandchildren Mila, Asher, Cody, Mckenna, Akela, Haven, Ellihana, Maverick and Wrenley. As well as many loved ones and friends. Graveside services are being held on Thursday, September 11th, at 12:00pm at Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward, OK. Viewing will be held at the cemetery at 11:30am.
