Robert "Bob" Burr, 78, of Branford, formerly of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6th, 2026, at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was the beloved husband of the late Adrienne Paolillo Burr. Bob was born on December 26th, 1947, and was the son of the late Kenneth and Rose Boldi Burr. A longtime resident of North Haven, Bob graduated from North Haven High School in 1965. After high school, Bob enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country proudly for 4 years. Upon his exit, Bob went on to work as an auto mechanic for various companies before eventually becoming an officer for the Connecticut Department of Corrections in 1976. He held this position for 20 years before becoming an alarm technician for another 15 years. After his time as an alarm technician, Bob became part owner of the Pro Shop at Circle Lanes Bowling Alley in East Haven until his eventual retirement in 2020. Bob loved bowling and participated in many different tournaments over the years in Kansas, Florida, and several trips to Las Vegas to name a few. These tournaments allowed him and his wife to travel the country, which they both loved to do. Father of Stacey (Pasquale) DiNuzzo, Brian Burr, and Robert K. Burr. Stepfather of Rhonda (Mark) See and Andrew (Nanette) Raucci. Bob is also survived by many grandchildren and step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his stepson Michael Raucci.
The visiting hours will be Thursday morning, March 12th, from 10:00 to 12:00 noon at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A parlor service will be conducted in the funeral home at 12 o'clock. Interment with full military honors will immediately follow in All Saints Cemetery.
