Robert T. "Buzz" Chard, Sr., 95, of Maryland, passed away on August 9, 2025. Born on March 10, 1930, Buzz lived a life defined by love for family, dedicated service, and a generous spirit.

He was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor Chard for 60 years, and a devoted father to Karen Chard and Robert Chard, Jr., and his wife Karen. He was a proud Pop-Pop to Scott fiancé Bryn, and Kyle. Buzz is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Master Plumber for 42 years, Buzz was known for his craftsmanship, mentorship, and commitment to his trade. A proud Army veteran and community member, he cherished life's simple pleasures-bowling with Eleanor, cheering on the Orioles, playing minor league baseball and sharing his legendary Fried Hard Crabs.

Buzz will be remembered for his kindness, warmth, and the selflessness he brought to those around him. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Buzz' life at the family-owned Evans Life Celebration Home – 8800 Harford Road, Parkville MD 21234, for a visitation on Monday, August 25th, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A funeral mass will be on Tuesday, August 26th, 2025, 11am at St. Michaels Overlea Catholic Church. Interment to conclude all services at Gardens of Faith Memorial Park.
