Robert Byrd, Jr., Age 68, Departed this life on Sunday, September 21, 2025.
A native of Dayton, OH, he enjoyed camping, fishing, barbequing, and riding his motorcycle in his younger years. On August 25, 1991, he married his sweetheart, Ingrid F. Byrd. Robert worked for the City of Dayton for over 32 years ending his career in the Water Works Department.
He was preceded in death by his Parents Robert Byrd, Sr. and Betty Lou Byrd, Brother Terry Martin, Niece Toya Martin, Stepdaughters Robin Smith and Natalie Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving, devoted wife of 34 years, Ingrid F. Byrd, Stepdaughter, LaTasha (Lawerence) Akpan, Granddaughters Rae'Vynn Smith, Comfort Akpan, and Natalie Smith; Grandsons Michael Akpan and Flosten Smith, Sister Jackie Martin, Brothers Clifford Byrd and Darryl Byrd, along with a host of many other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
