Robert Leslie Camp, a spirited and creative soul, passed away in Stayton, Oregon on July 10, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of artistry, curiosity, and love. Born on June 17, 1958, in Oregon City, Oregon, Robert was the beloved son of Gloria (Hostetler) and Ronald Camp. He grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, which nurtured his lifelong passion for exploration and creativity.
A graduate of North Marion High School in Aurora, class of 1976, Robert carried his artistic talents into a fulfilling career as an interior and exterior painter. His work was more than a profession, it was an extension of his vibrant imagination. Whether transforming a room with color or restoring a home with care, Robert approached each project with dedication and pride.
Robert found joy in a wide array of hobbies that reflected his playful spirit and inquisitive mind. He was an avid rockhound, a devoted gardener, and a master pickler. He delighted in screen printing, cider making, and road trips that often turned into whimsical adventures, and he especially cherished building Lego creations with his grandson Henry. Robert’s fascination with the mysterious led him on many Sasquatch hunts.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother Gloria and his sisters Janice Stutz and Julia Johnson. He is survived by his father Ronald Camp; his children Taylor Eades, Eyerly Camp, and Easton Camp; his cherished grandson Henry; and his siblings Darrel Camp, Gerald Camp, Carolyn Hunter, Timothy Camp, and Elizabeth Ellis.
Those who knew Robert will remember him as curious and silly, a man who embraced life with open arms and an open heart. He was a loving father, brother, son, and grandfather whose warmth and humor brought comfort and laughter to those around him.
