Mr. Robert "Poppy Bob" Guy Carroll, Sr., age 81, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024 at his home.
Robert was United States Air Force Veteran. He had a passion for golf and flying. He loved his Weenie Babies that brought him much comfort in his final days, HerShe and DixxEE which he coddled and spoiled. He was the Maintenance Coordinator for Jeffrey Steel /Metals USA for 40years.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Richard Carroll, Virgil Carroll and Maurice Carroll.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marilyn A. Carroll, 3 children, Robert Guy Carroll, Jr., Tracey Carroll Norris, Robin Taggert, 1sister, Shirley Carroll, 7 grandchildren, Robby Carroll, Kayla Carroll, Courtney Carroll, Julianne Scanlan, William C. Kimberl V, Kristen Kimberl, Jordan Kimberl, 8 great-grandchildren, special niece, Rhonda Ramos, special friend, Terry Homer, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 12pm. The family will receive friends from 11am until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
