Thelma Ann Banks Evans, age 97, a resident of Mobile, Alabama, for 63 years, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025. She was born on July 17, 1928, in Birmingham, Alabama, to George McAfee Banks and Thelma Ruth Boynton Banks. Though she lived in Mobile most of her adult life, the past 5 years were spent in Covington, Louisiana, where she was cared for by her family and at St. Anthony's Garden Memory Center.

Ann was a loving wife, dear mother and grandmother. She was a long-time member of the Spring Hill Baptist Church in Mobile and retired from Regions Bank. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution D'Iberville Chapter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Thelma Banks; and her husband, Harry Thomas Evans, Jr. She is survived by her son, David Alan Evans (Susan) of Birmingham, Alabama; her daughter, Sharon Evans Kirk (Shan) of Mandeville, Louisiana; and her grandchildren: Ross Lenahan Kirk of Mobile, Alabama, Reed Harrison Kirk of Metairie, Louisiana, and Dr. Caroline Ann Kirk-Craig (James) of Huntsville, Alabama.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Rd., Mobile, Alabama. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with burial to immediately follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family is requesting that donations may be made in Ann's name to Spring Hill Baptist Church, 2 McGregor Avenue, Mobile, Alabama 36608 or to Harmony Hospice, 3621 Ridgelake Dr. #200, Metairie, Louisiana 70002.
