Robert Lee "Bobby" Chandler Jr., passed peacefully surrounded by his children and loving wife, on April 30, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on January 22, 1956, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Robert and Aline (Hogan) Chandler, Bobby lived a life characterized by devotion, kindness, and an infectious sense of humor. His spirit enriched the lives of everyone he encountered, and he will be profoundly missed.
A longstanding member of Forward Church, Bobby demonstrated what it meant to serve others throughout his life. With a deep commitment to family and friends, he was the embodiment of selflessness and humility. He retired as Vice President of Manufacturing from PSC Fabricating. Throughout his lifetime he used his immense skills as a craftsman to constantly help his family, friends, and community; such as renovating churches, and helping anyone who asked with his countless abilities. Bobby not only enjoyed working with his hands but also found great joy in the simple pleasures of life: working on his car, spending long, leisurely days fishing, and sharing laughter with his lifelong friends; but his greatest joy of all was his children and wife of 41 years.
Bobby’s legacy continues through his loving family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Paula (Byerley) Chandler, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with love and support. Bobby's memory will live on in the hearts of his children: Cheri Greenwell, James Robert Chandler, Robert "Tyke" (Melissa) Chandler, and Michael Chandler. Each of his children carries forward the lessons of kindness, resilience, wit, and sense of humor that their father imparted. He is also survived by his sister, Karen (Woodrow) Deerr, and brothers, Jeff (Diane) Chandler and Steve (Joyce Lynn) Chandler, who shared countless memories with him over the years.
Bobby was further blessed with grandchildren, Hannah, David, Deja, Oliver, and Iris, whose smiles brought him immense joy.
