William "Bill" A. Leffler, a beloved figure in the Elizabeth community, passed peacefully on February10, 2026, at his home in Elizabeth, Indiana, surrounded by his cherished family. Born on April 25, 1940, in Elizabeth, Bill lived a life marked by dedication to his work, love for family, and a deep sense of community.

Bill began his career early on with the South Harrison School Corporation and later contributed his talents at Jeff Boat. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, he established two successful businesses, Leffler Home Improvements and B & L Farm Toys, demonstrating not only his skill but also his commitment to serving others until his retirement.

Education was important to Bill, and he was proud to be a graduate of Elizabeth High School. His interests were diverse; he enjoyed woodworking, exploring yard sales and thrift shops, as well as dining out. Bill had a passion for traveling, spending peaceful moments on the porch watching deer, and engaging in his favorite pastimes of hunting and fishing. He possessed a warm and inviting nature, never failing to greet strangers as friends, and he cherished the time spent with his family and those around him.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Linda Leffler, and their children, Daughter Kim (Rick) Sams and Son Timothy Leffler. He was also a devoted grandfather to Amanda (Billy) Davis, Joshua Sams, and Danielle (Jordan Sullivan) Williams, and a proud great-grandfather to Laynie, Sophia, Noah, Grayson, Ryker, Nova, Mia, and Malia. Bill's legacy will live on through each of his family members, including his sisters, Sarah Faye Leffler and Phyllis Knight, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his grandson, Shane Williams, his parents, Lester and Cecelia Leffler, and his brother, Ralph Leffler. Bill's life was a tapestry of memories woven with love, laughter, and shared experiences.
