Robert (Bob) LeRoy Clark was born on June 8, 1950, at Newman Hospital in Emporia, KS. He was the second oldest of eight siblings. Jerry Clark of Eureka and Linda Galbreath of Michigan are the only two remaining.
Bob married Linda Thornton October 24, 1968 in Emporia. Together they had three children; Kent LeRoy Clark, Annette Renee Barr, and Savanah Rae Cannon. Kent gave them daughter-in-law Sheryl and grandchildren Natasha Bednar, Robert Clark, Chantel Clark and Juliet Clark. Annette gave them son-in-law, James Barr and grandchildren, Bridget Camien, Michelle Nicholson, and Michael Mitchell. Savanah gave them, son-in law Brian Cannon and grandchildren, Joslin Cannon, Jayden Cannon, Brenah Cannon and Briley Cannon. From all of that they were blessed with 12 great grandchildren.
Bob was the hardest worker and never too busy to help anyone. He was so social and didn’t know a stranger. Everyone that knew him loved and respected him. He was a devoted, loving husband for 57 wonderful years. In that time, so many memories were made. Traveling, vacations, parties, games and barbeques. When he loved, he loved with all he had.
Bob was so ornery and such an adventurer. He was never scared to try anything. He has bungee jumped, ziplined, flipped off the tops of boats, skied, tubed, jet skied and motorcycled. He was such the dare devil.
A visitation will be held at 9:00am, Tuesday, May 27th, with funeral services beginning at 10:00, at Sawyer Funeral Home in Council Grove. Burial will follow at Americus Cemetery.
