Robert Humphrey Clayton, Jr.

Robert Humphrey Clayton, Jr. "Bobby" passed away peacefully on 12/12/2024. Born June 18, 1946, Bobby was a native New Orleanian who had recently relocated to Kennesaw, Georgia. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Deborah (née Lyons); devoted children, Bridgette Dominique (Kirk), Wendy Cabrera (Victor), and Robert "Robbie" Clayton, III (Kyra); son-in-law Derrick Morgan, Sr.; grandchildren, Gabrielle Lee (Chris), David, Derrick II, Blake, Amiyah, and Calen; great grandchildren, Bryce, Blair and Beautiful, as well as a host of relatives, in-laws, friends and those who called him Paran (pah-RANH). Brother to Arthur, Neil, Ronald and Michael Clayton, Sr., and the late Myrtle L. Adams, Doris, Modest, Viola, Anthony and Donald Clayton, Sr., he was the eldest son and preceded in death by his parents, Robert, Sr. and Myrtle Trepagnier Clayton.

Former employee of Circle Food Store, Godchaux's, WWL-TV, and former member of Word of Faith Temple and The Upperroom Bible Church, Bobby is probably best remembered as co-owner of Little Kingdom Childcare Center. He was a master craftsman and builder who could fix damn near anything. A true jack-of-all-trades, his expertise in handiwork was boundless. Rarely has there been a man who meant so much to so many, and "Baaabay, they sure don't make 'em like him anymore." His presence will be sorely missed.
