WINSTON SALEM – Robert Eugene Clinard, 70, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 18, 2024. Robert was born on December 12, 1953 in Forsyth County to C.V. and Pauline Clinard. Robert started working with the family business around the age of 8 years old. He was a hard worker, staying devoted to the family roofing business for over 50 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his family and cutting up with his brothers and sisters.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Clinard; and his Aunt Dot Tilley.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Pamela Clinard; one daughter, Diamond Beck (Billy); two sons, Daniel Clinard and David Helton; five grandchildren, Izzy, Conner, and Zay Beck, Sky Lockhart, and Matthew Cobbler; four sisters, Carol Parrish (Calvin), Susan Hemrick (Preston), Brenda “BoBo” Bowden (Richard), and Teresa Newsome (Frank); one brother, James Clinard (Kim); a sister-in-law, Jean Clinard; many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2024 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff and nurses of Trellis Supportive Care for their kindness during Robert’s health decline.
