Robert Colburn Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Henderson & Sons Funeral Home - South Chapel - Rome on Feb. 26, 2026.
Mr. Robert Steven "Steve" Colburn, age 61, of Rome, GA, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his family.

Steve was born in Floyd County, GA, on July 11, 1964, son of the late Cleveson Colburn and the late Mary Sue Kirby Colburn. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Colburn, and by his stepson, Joshua Paige. Steve was a mechanic at Courtesy Ford of Rome for over 32 years. Passion for automobiles ran in his blood. He loved his hot rods and going to any car show he could. When his health started declining, he enjoyed assembling model cars, never losing his love of automobiles. Steve enjoyed visiting the beach, but the mountains were his happy place. Always a thrifty man, he enjoyed going to estate sales to find any vintage item he could, especially toys. Above all, Steve loved his family and his kids, grandkids, and great grandson were the light of his life.

Survivors include his loving wife, Angie Justice Colburn; a daughter, Leann Holbert (Corey); his stepson, Bradley Paige (Lauren); 8 grandchildren, Marley Garrard (Mark), Karmen Ambler (Jim), Riley Holbert, Maggie Holbrt, Ella Claire Holbert, Landon Paige, Addison Paige, and Dallas King; a great grandson, Wesley Ambler; numerous cousins, extended family, and special friends whom he loved dearly.

In accordance with his wishes, Steve will be cremated and a memorial visitation will be held from 4pm until 6pm on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Henderson & Sons Funeral Homes, South Chapel.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, is honored to serve the family of Mr. Robert Steven "Steve" Colburn.
