Robert Combs Obituary
Robert Williams Combs Jr., 50, of Rockwell, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
He was born September 2, 1973 in Camp Lejeune in Onslow, NC to the late Robert Combs Sr. and Dorothy Hamby Combs. He is a 1992 graduate of A.L. Brown High School where he played football. Robert was employed by Gary's BBQ for over 20 years. In his spare time he enjoyed watching sports.
In addition to his father, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Timmy Combs.
Robert is survived by his mother, Dorothy Combs; brother, Derick (Leann); girlfriend of 16 years, Mary Miller Gray; step-daughter, MaKayla Gray; sons, Issac Whitley and Justice Combs; numerous aunts, uncles, close cousins, nieces and nephews.
There will be a private Celebration of Life held at a later date.
Carolina Cremation is assisting the Combs family. Online condolences may be made at www.carolinacremation.com.

So sorry for his loss. Coach Glenn Cook had the privilege to coach him in Football and Basketball. He always came out of Gary´s kitchen to talk to him. Glenn said he was a fine young me and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace son
