Robert Christopher Consola
January 7, 1965 - May 25, 2025
With heavy hearts and endless love, we share the passing of Robert Christopher Consola on May 25, 2025, at the age of 60.
Born in the Bronx on January 7, 1965, and raised on Staten Island. In the last five years of his life, Robert resided at CareOne in East Brunswick, a memory care facility where he received support for Alzheimer's. Even in the face of such a difficult diagnosis, his kind heart, warm spirit, and signature charm continued to shine through. He made friends easily, brought smiles to those around him, and never lost the spark that made him so special. He was the beloved son of Marie Consola (Romano) and the late Joseph Consola, and the devoted brother of Doris Crawley (husband Pierre) and the late Joseph Consola (wife Christine).
Robert was a graduate of Monsignor Farrell High School and attended the College of Staten Island. He built a successful career as a specialist on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, a role that demanded sharp instincts, quick thinking, and strong character. He brought all of that and more, a job that demanded strength, smarts, and steady nerves.
But Robert's greatest pride was always his family. He was the loving and fiercely dedicated father of Vanessa Consola, Robert Consola (wife Monique), Frankie Consola (wife Martina), and Joseph Consola. He poured his heart into raising them, showing up for every game, every moment, every challenge. His children were his world, and he gave everything he had to make their lives better.
He was also a grandfather to his two granddaughters, Joey Monroe Consola and Natalia Loren Consola,
Robert had a larger-than-life presence. He was a gifted athlete, playing hockey and football in his youth and later softball with his children-those games were more than just sports, they were memories in motion. He loved staying active, especially going to the gym, and he never lost his passion for the game. He was an avid sports fan and could often be found cheering from the couch, proudly rooting for his beloved Washington Redskins. Watching games with his kids was one of his greatest joys. He was magnetic-funny, loyal, and effortlessly social. He could talk to anyone and had a way of making you feel like you'd known him forever.
He was the guy everyone loved. The man who worked hard, loved harder, and never stopped showing up for the people he cared about. His love was fierce, his laugh unforgettable, and his legacy immeasurable.
Robert's memory will live on in every life he touched and every story shared. He leaves behind a family who will love and miss him always-and a circle of friends who will never forget the joy of knowing him.

So many fond memories of playing hockey with Bobby for Farrell. He and I weren't the biggest guys in the ice, but as a teammate, he made me feel ten feet tall. You will be missed, my friend.
