Robert "Bob" L. Costello passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Morristown Medical Center, surrounded by his three children. Bob was 89 years old.

Bob was born and raised in Boston MA. He lived in Milton, MA before moving to Boonton (Parsippany Township) 52 years ago.

He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War before being Honorably discharged in 1956.

Bob worked as a Methods Analyst for AT&T in Watertown MA, New York City and Bernardsville, NJ for many years before his retirement in 1989.

Bob was also an avid golfer and enjoyed boating with his children and grandchildren. One of his lifelong passions was following the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League. Bob's devotion to his wife Leona was unsurpassed.

He was never happier than when spending quiet time with her around their home, and after retirement when they travelled the world. They particularly enjoyed visiting Scotland, Alaska, the Canadian Rockies, Hawaii, Australia and New Zealand.

Bob's nurturing side was never more evident than when he was caring for Leona during her ten year battle with cancer. Leona was stoic and never complained and Bob always found the strength to care for her every need during this period. We are saddened by Bob's passing but rejoice in the knowledge that he and Leona are reunited.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Leona; his parents, Louis and Constance Costello; and his brother, John Costello.

Survivors include his sons: Robert L. Costello & wife, Margaret; Joseph M. Costello; his daughter, Paula Lynch & husband, Richard; and his brother, Francis Costello. Bob is also survived by his 7 grandchildren: Shane Costello & wife Heather; Richard Lynch; Megan Chawla & husband Jasmeet; Brian Costello; Tanner Costello & wife Dani; Craig Costello & James Lynch. He is also survived by his 5 cherished great-grandchildren: Lily, Levi, Mason, Jackson and Leona (born December 5, 2022).

Relatives and friends are invited to his wake at the Par-Troy Funeral Home (95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany, NJ, 973-887-3235, www.partroyfuneralhome.com) on Sunday, December 18th from 2:00 - 5:00 PM.
