Mr. Dansby was born March 11, 1940, in Augusta, GA to the late Robert F. and Ethel Dansby, Sr. He graduated from Clemson College with a degree in electrical engineering. Mr. Dansby served his country in the United States Army for six years in the 101st Airborne Division. He retired as Mill Manager from International Paper after 38 years of service. Mr. Dansby loved his dogs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Amanda Broussard.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Merle Dansby; daughter, Barbara Dansby; son, Bob Dansby (Aida); grandchildren, Foster Dansby and Jake Dansby; great grandchildren, Lula, Alexis and Kaiden; brother, Jim Dansby (Carole).
