Robert Lee Davis, 72, of Toms River, formerly of Clifton, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025. Born in Jersey City, Bob was raised in Lyndhurst where he resided until moving to Clifton in 1979. He then moved to Toms River in 2023 where he lived until his passing. Bob had previously been employed with Cooper Lumber in East Rutherford. He loved the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He hunted mainly in Northwest New Jersey and Pennsylvania. As a fisherman, Bob had an appreciation for both freshwater and saltwater fishing. Bob was always up for a road trip and he really enjoyed vacations. Bob will be most remembered for the kind, thoughtful and loving man that he was.
He was predeceased by his parents, Robert Leigh Davis and Dorothy Davis; and his brother, John Davis.
Survivors include: his beloved wife of 49 years, Camile (nee Trentacoste) Davis; his devoted children, Dana Pollati and her husband, Chistopher of Howell, NJ and Robert John Davis of Toms River, NJ; his loving grandson, Ayden Lee Pollati; his siblings, Dorothy Davis (the late Michael O'Neil) of Budd Lake, NJ, Rose Seyler of Shohola Falls, PA, and Clayton Davis of New Lisbon, NJ; and his sister-in-law, Mariett Trentacoste of Clifton, NJ.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by the committal at Cedar Lawn Crematory Chapel in Paterson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or online at www.cancer.org.
