Robert Charles Davis, lovingly known as Charlie, passed away peacefully on July 17th, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on February 12, 1962, Charlie was a lifelong Oklahoma native and a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend.
Charlie is survived by his devoted daughter Kendra Leigh Artherton and her husband Colby Artherton and his four cherished grandchildren: Collin, Cadyn, Camden and Cade - who brought endless pride and joy to his life.
He is also survived by his loving mother Cherrie Davis, two older brothers, David Davis and his
wife Cheryl, and Randy Davis and his wife Jan; and nieces and nephews who meant the world
to him: Kara, Dustin, Casey and Josiah. He also leaves behind two beloved aunts, several
cousins, and many great- nieces and great- nephews who will miss his kindness, laughter, and
presence.
Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Ralph "Corky" Davis, two uncles, and his maternal
and paternal grandparents.
As a young man, Charlie played baseball through junior high and remained a lifelong fan of the
sport, especially keeping up with the Bartlesville High School baseball league. He was always
eager to talk baseball, and watching games brought him comfort and connection throughout his
life.
Charlie began his career working for Phillips Petroleum and later became a dedicated route driver for Borden Milk and Coca-Cola. Eventually, he took the open road as a long-haul semi-truck driver, where he found freedom and independence and received many awards and acknowledgments for his driving skills. After many hardworking years, he retired at age 58. Charlie was best known for his striking blue eyes, his beautiful smile, and a heart that was open to everyone. He had a gentle, fun loving spirit, and never met a stranger. He enjoyed hanging out with friends and family, listening to great music, and was known as a fierce and talented foosball player in his day. As he got older, you could always find Charlie out playing
shuffleboard, where he stayed competitive and social. And if there was good music playing, it
didn't matter where he was, Charlie would be dancing. Music brought him joy, and dancing
brought that joy to everyone around him.
Charlie's presence will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know and love him.
A memorial service will be held on July 25th at 2 O'Clock at Stumpff Funeral Home in
Bartlesville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charlie's honor to the Alzheimer's
Association

Yesterday

My sincere condolences. I have known Charlie forever and always enjoyed visiting with him. My late husband, Mark, was also good friends with him and had a nickname for him, he always called him Bodean...I never knew the origin of that nickname but after Mark passed, of course I had to continue it in his honor. Charlie would just smile and chuckle when I called him Bodean. Charlie will be sincerely missed by many who enjoyed his company. Prayers of comfort and peace for his family.
