Robert K. Davis, a man of loving nature, kind spirit, and courageous heart, passed away peacefully due to natural causes on November 22, 2025, in Concord, North Carolina. He was born on August 17, 1950, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to the late Archie P. and Dolores (Qualls) Davis, and his life was a testament to the values of family, hard work, and community.
Robert was a devoted husband to Theresa L. Crawley. Their marriage, which began on August 9, 1968, in Cassopolis, Michigan, was filled with mutual support and enduring love. Theresa remains to cherish his memory, along with their two children, Michael Davis and Taryn Davis-Boykin (married to Christopher Boykin), and their two grandchildren, Evan and Aron Boykin.
Robert's siblings, Alton Davis, Dolores McNeary, Diane Jackson-Irvin (married to Kevin Irvin), and Bryan Davis, will hold his memory dear, as will his brother-in-law, James Crawley Jr., and sisters-in-law, Patricia (married to Robert Gonder) and Carol Crawley. His extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins will miss his presence at family gatherings where his stories and laughter were always a highlight. Robert was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Mary Crawley, and brother-in-law, Lewis Crawley and Leroy McNeary, both of whom he remembered fondly.
A proud graduate of Cassopolis High School, Robert was not only an academic but also an athlete, participating in track and football with vigor and passion. He furthered his education in the field of Aerospace, which paved the way for a distinguished career. Robert's professional life was marked by his tenure at Bendix Corporation (now Honeywell), where he retired as vice president of management and manufacturing. His leadership and mentorship left an indelible mark on the industry and those who worked alongside him.
Robert's Christian faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding his actions and providing comfort and strength throughout his journey. He lived his beliefs through acts of kindness and a steadfast commitment to his family and community.
An avid golfer and sports enthusiast, Robert found joy both on the green and as a spectator of various sports including Nascar racing. His high school years were filled with athletic achievements that he fondly recalled in later years. Traveling, especially enjoying cruises, and indulging in his love for Jazz music, were among his favorite pastimes. His zest for life and new experiences was infectious, inspiring those around him to embrace the beauty of the world.
Robert's legacy is one of love, kindness, and courage. He approached each day with a positive outlook and a determination to make the most of every moment. His passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him, but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us.
