Robert Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge on Dec. 19, 2025.
Robert "Pops" Davis, age 84, a resident of Brundidge, died Wednesday December 17, 2025 at Silvercrest Nursing and Rehabilitation in Crestview, FL. Funeral services for Mr. Davis will be held Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 11am in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge with Rev. Danny Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10-11am.
Serving as pallbearers will be Blake James, Dennie Perkins, Jeff Downing, Jonathan Danner, Michael Davis, Ben Davis, Terry Dease and Bobby Smith.
Mr. Davis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. "Pops" as he was known to many was a simple man. He was not one to be loud or the center of attention, he would rather let his actions speak for him. Work was something that he never shied away from. Whether it was the years he spent at the shirt factory, working in the yard or just helping anyone that may need help he was someone who believed in hard work. He had many interests in life but perhaps above everything he loved his family. He loved his children but his grandchildren held a special place in his heart and he cherished the time he spent with them. More than anything though he loved his wife. After nearly 60 years of marriage his wife Margaret went ahead of him to fix up their eternal home in heaven and a mere 6 weeks later he couldn't stand to be apart any longer and passed through the gates of heaven to rejoin her.
He is survived by children: Julie Barbaree (David) and Robbie Davis (Norma); grandchildren: Seth Barbaree (Mandy), Michael Sneed (Amber), Audra Barbaree, Jeremy Sneed, Blake James, Adriane Richards (Brandan), Robbie Davis Jr., Chesley Rodriguez (Vynn), Austin Turner and Adam Sneed (Kelly); 12 great-grandchildren; brothers: Coley Davis (Mary), Alfred Davis (Rita); sister, Flora Harrell; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Elaine Davis; parents: RC and Rosa Davis
