Ralph Edwards Seay, age 96, entered into eternal rest on January 11, 2026. A devout Christian, Ralph lived a life rooted in faith, service, and love for others. Known for unwavering integrity and kindness, he was a pillar of his community, always ready to lend a helping hand and share a warm smile.
A celebration of life service officiated by Brother Averyt Walker will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at St. John Baptist Church, 2158 County Road 3341, Brundidge, AL 36010 with visitation one hour prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers are Tom Donn, Eddie Black, Bill Talbot, Michael Jones, Jerry Miller, and Jim Bowman.
Born on March 11, 1929, Ralph was the youngest of four children born to A.C. “Cleve” Seay and Maggie Edwards Seay.
After serving in the Korean War, Ralph returned to Pike County, where he married Delphine Faulkner Seay in 1955. They remained happily married for 63 years until her passing in 2018. Together, they shared a daughter, Margaret Kay Seay.
By trade, Ralph was a skilled carpenter whose craftsmanship touched countless lives. His work was more than wood and nails—it was a testament to dedication, precision, and artistry. Each piece he created carried a story, a reflection of his care and commitment.
A long-time member and deacon of St. John Baptist Church, Ralph served faithfully, leading by example and offering strength and compassion to the congregation. His commitment to his faith and community was unwavering, and his presence will be deeply missed.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, and his beloved wife. He is survived by his daughter and a host of extended family and friends. His life was a testament to love, faith, and perseverance—a true pillar of his family and community.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers from Wiregrass Home Care that have taken such good care of him since 2022. We would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Hailey Harrison, who has become adopted family now.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to the staff of Compassus Hospice for all of their kindness and care to our entire family. A special acknowledgement goes to Elizabeth Wood, for her concern, empathy and attention these last few weeks.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. John Church cemetery fund, honoring Ralph’s lifelong dedication to helping others. The Church address is 2158 County Road 3341, Brundidge, Alabama 36010.
