Robert Allen Dickie

Mausoleum services to celebrate the life of Mr. Robert Allen Dickie, 85, of Anniston, will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Anniston Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Per the family's request no public visitation will be held. Robert will be entombed immediately following the service.
Robert died on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Loomas Dickie and Julia Ritchie Dickie; his daughter, Wendy Anne Newsome; and his wife, Judy Dickie.
Those left to cherish the memory of Robert include the mother of his children, Glenda Sawyer Dickie; his daughters, Sajuan Wilbanks, Andrea Sikes, and Rhonda Merrill; eight grandchildren, Lindsay Wilbanks, Rob Wilbanks (Carmen), Courtney James (Anthony), Brandon Thompson (Jessica), Kevin Thompson, Corbin Wade, Farah Young (E.J.), and Tiffany Tidwell (Bruce); 13 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Gene Dickie (Betty).
Robert was a kind-hearted man who dearly loved his family. He enjoyed playing golf in his younger years, collecting coins, and being a member of the Jaycees. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed being in the comfort of his own home with his two cats. Robert retired at the age of 75 from McGiff Tire Company where he worked in commercial sales. To know Robert was to love him and he will be greatly missed.
The family kindly requests that flowers be in the form of potted plants or vase arrangements due to mausoleum entombment.
