Robert DiMattia Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Huber-Moore Funeral Home - Bordentown on Dec. 24, 2025.
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert DiMattia (Bob), who left us on December 22, 2025 at the age of 88 years old while on hospice care at Aspen Hills, Pemberton, NJ. Born in Trenton, he started a family with his wife Dorothy, and later relocated to Chesterfield, NJ, which he happily resided.
Bob Graduated Trenton Central High School. He was a banker for many years until he took a golden parachute to his early retirement. In his retirement he thrived at being a generous grandfather and was happiest engaging with his family.
Bob lived a spirited life in which he valued his health and wellness through acupuncture and reiki (level 2 master). Bob would always say his favorite color was purple, as it meant healing. In his younger years, Bob stayed active through running and biking, which he proudly completed the Anchor House bike ride.
Aside from being active, one of Bob's favorite hobbies was socializing at the Columbus Farmers Marker where he would network and make friends with any stranger. He had an eye for collectibles, which he enjoyed tinkering with.
Undoubtedly, Bob's favorite activity was spending time with his kids & grand kids. During the summer, Bob looked forward to the tradition visiting the Jersey shore. Throughout the school year, he was dedicated to watching his loved ones compete in sporting events or celebrate their academic achievements. His greatest strength was supporting his loved ones and his greatest challenge was trying to juggle all of the many events on the calendar, which he claimed kept him young.
His kindness and welcoming personality always shined through, as Bob was everyone's Poppop. He was a charmer to all of those he adored. He lived a fulfilled life, which was reflected in his love, generosity, and wisdom. He has touched the lives of not just his immediate family, but of the network of extended family and friends through his sociable nature.
Bob was predeceased by his father Andrew DiMattia, mother Mary DiMattia, and brother Joseph DiMattia (Lucy). He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy of 63 years and his three children Charlene Senachai (Jack), Lisa Antonucci (Jeff), and Andrew DiMattia (Chrissy) who will continue to carry on his legacy. He also leaves behind many relatives, notably his grandkids Derek (Hannah), Casey (Jeremy), Kyle, Selena (Mick), Scott (Dana), Chad (Dana), Cameron (Danah), and great grandkids who will continue to cherish his youthful spirit.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Serenity Hospice or Alzheimer's Foundation of America

Bobby was my first cousin. Throughout our childhood, he was my favorite cousin. My mother made his birthday cakes and we celebrated with him. After Bob married Dot and I married Joe, we became close and socialized constantly. When we had our children they became part of our enjoyment. Bob teased me when we were young and that never changed through the years. Bob will always be in our hearts. Joe and I send our condolences to Dot, Charlene, Lisa, Andrew and families.

Charlene, Lisa and family I am so sorry for your loss I enjoyed talking with your dad when he would come to Springfield to pickup one of the kids after school. Such a sweet man.
