It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert James Dixey on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025, at home, one day shy of his 91st birthday. Bob was born on August 6th, 1934, in Philadelphia, PA. He was the son of Joseph and Mary (Walsh) Dixey and brother to his siblings Joseph Dixey, Father Edward Dixey, and Dee McGoldrick. Bob graduated from West Catholic High School in 1951 and continued to be an active alum up until his death. Upon graduation, he became a union electrician with IBEW Local 98 until his retirement at age 60.
Bob met the love of his life, Helene (Higgins). They shared 51 wonderful years of marriage together until her untimely death in 2016. Their enduring love and partnership became the cornerstone of a close-knit family including son Robert, daughter Sandra, and son-in-law Adam Fiore, son Craig, and daughter-in-law Heather (DeMoss), daughter Jessica, who left us too soon at the age of 22, and grandchildren Vanessa, Maya (Luca), Eleanor, and Asher.
Bob enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved listening to music and watching sports, especially Penn State football and Villanova basketball. Bob was an avid reader and crossword puzzler and will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, Pop-Pop, brother, uncle, and friend.
Family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, October 16th, 2025 at 9:00 AM at St. Isaac Jogues, 50 West Walker Rd., Wayne, PA followed by a memorial mass at 10:00 AM to honor Bob's life.
