Jane L. (Ahlgren) Dixey, 99, of Bristol, widow of William B. Dixey III, died on Sunday (December 28, 2025) at Ingraham Manor.

Jane was born on September 15, 1926 in New Britain and was a daughter of the late Herbert and Dorothy (Babcock) Ahlgren.

She was raised in New Britain graduating from New Britain High School. She settled in Newington where she spent 45 years. She then lived in Naples, FL before moving to Bristol in 2000.

Jane worked for General Electric and did bookkeeping for Forest Associates Advertising Agency for several years before her retirement.

She loved all kinds of games, especially cards and Bingo and enjoyed a good margarita. She always looked forward to Christmas and participating in the family games for lottery tickets.

Jane is survived by four children: William Dixey IV and his wife, Cynthia of Alamo, CA, Jane Wolfradt of Naples, FL, Scott Dixey and his wife, Debbie of Cape Coral, FL and Robert Dixey of Weatogue; a stepdaughter: Linda Vior of Middletown; a sister: Nancy Godby of Indiana; ten grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her stepdaughter: Diana Dixey; a son-in-law: Gary Wolfradt; a daughter-in-law: Barbara Dixey; and four siblings: Robert Ahlgren, Dorothy Nye, Beverly Burkhead and Joyce Komanetsky.
