Born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ, the son of Robert, Sr. and Anna (Talias) Donnelly, Bob had also lived in Cedar Grove, West Orange and Chatham before moving to Summit over 20 years ago. A graduate of St. Benedict's Preparatory School in Newark, he earned his bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and later an MBA after returning to New Jersey. Bob had a decades-long career at McGraw Hill in New York City retiring in 2005. Always dressed to the nines, and a car enthusiast, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends in New York City and down the shore and was an extremely proud alumnus of Georgetown and St. Benedicts.
Bob was the loving father of MaryBeth Donnelly and Jennifer Donnelly. He was predeceased by his daughter MaryKate Donnelly and his sister Carol-Ann Lord.
