Robert Donton Obituary

Robert E. Donton, 75, of Pine Grove, passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, at home.

Born April 12, 1948, in Cressona, he was a son of the late John and Kathryn (Wengert) Donton.

Bobby served in the Army in the Vietnam War. He was a member of Company A 2nd Battalion with the First Infantry. He was awarded the bronze star medal with V device for heroism.

He was self-employed, repairing and tuning pianos.

Bobby was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Summer Hill, Auburn. He also belonged to the Pine Grove Fish & Game and the VFW, Schuylkill Haven.

Bobby loved camping in Potter County and tinkering in his garage.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his brother, James Donton, and sisters, Elsie Schneck and Mary Gaston.

He is survived by his son, Robert E. Donton Jr. and his significant other, Kaylyn, of Pine Grove; daughter, Megan Frasnelli and her significant other, Tate, of Pottsville; grandchildren, Taylor, Kaidah, Vincent and Paisley; sisters, Edna Blankenhorn, of Schuylkill Haven, Violet Boyer, of Pine Grove, and Sherry Wolff and husband, Bruce, of Tremont; nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be private. To extend online condolences, visit www.gsesfuneralhomes.com. Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, has been entrusted with arrangements, with cremation services provided by Riverfront Cremation Services LLC, Schuylkill Haven.
