Robert Dunn Obituary

One of eighteen children, Bob, spent the majority of his life in Martinsville, Indiana, where he attended Martinsville schools. He moved to Terre Haute approximately 10 years ago after living 10-12 years in Sullivan County, Indiana. He retired from the Local #18 Heat & Frost Insulators in Indianapolis, after a long career working as an insulator.
Bob was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriner's International, where he volunteered for many years transporting ill children, participating in various parades and fraternal activities. He was also an active member of the Elks Lodge and VFW Auxiliary.
He is survived by his six children including Robert B. Dunn Jr., Jonathan H. Dunn, Sandy G. Dunn, Jennifer E. Dunn, Renee R. Barber and Stephanie M. Dillman all of Martinsville, IN; two brothers, David D. Dunn of French Lick, IN, and Harry George Dunn of Plainfield, IN; seven sisters, Mary Frances Mercer of Texas, Judith Ann Dunn of Bargersville, IN, Denise Rebecca Bass of Martinsville, IN, Pamela Sue Brummett of Kentucky, Dianna Lee Moss of Martinsville, Paula J. Dillender of New Whiteland, IN, and Lorraine Richardson of Martinsville, IN; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by five brothers, Edmund Paul Dunn, Donald Roy Dunn, Wayne Anthony Dunn, Thomas Andrew Dunn and Leslie Aaron Dunn; and three sisters, Margaret L. Fuhs, Patricia Jean Welch and Ruth E. Duclos.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM in Nebo Memorial Park in Martinsville. Bob's final arrangements have been entrusted to Neal & Summers Funeral Home in Martinsville.
