It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Tami Sue (Grant) Curtis, age 51, of Indianapolis, who left this world far too soon on Friday, August 29th, 2025. Her life began on Sunday, February 10th, 1974, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Tami was the youngest of two daughters born to Ernest John Grant Jr. and Brenda Sue (Pearson) Grant.

Tami was a woman of many passions and deep compassion. She loved her family dearly and found joy in the simple but meaningful things in life-reading, listening to music, and art. She especially enjoyed making diamond art, finding the process both comforting and rewarding. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

She graduated from Martinsville High School with the class of 1992 and later earned her dental assisting certification. Tami worked a few years as a dental assistant before becoming a stay-at-home mom, a title she cherished. In March of 2025, she began working as a mental health technician at Ethan Crossing in Indianapolis, a role that brought her tremendous fulfillment. She had a true gift for caring for others and found purpose in helping those in need. She was also actively involved in AA, faithfully attending meetings and forming strong bonds within the fellowship that meant so much to her. Her warmth, honesty, and presence left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.

Though her time here was too short, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her including her parents, Ernie and Brenda Grant of Martinsville, IN; son, Hudson Wildaire (fiancé, Allie Rogers) of Tacoma, WA; daughters, Hayli Davis (husband, Noah Davis) of Martinsville, IN, and Kassidi Ringham of Bonney Lake, WA; sister, Jodi Cooper (husband, Khris Cooper) of Camby, IN; grandchildren, Nellie Sue and Maverick Luke Davis; and paternal grandfather, Ernest John Grant of Syracuse, NY; nephew, Hunter Koch; and nieces, Karli and Jillian Koch.

Tami was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Alan Curtis, whom she married June 3rd, 1995, on May 17th, 2009; and one grandson, Lucas Alan.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center in Martinsville. Rev. Luke Jackson will conduct a funeral service beginning immediately following the visitation at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In honoring Tami's wishes, she will be cremated following the services.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made in Tami's memory to Neal & Summers to assist with final expenses.

Memories and condolences are encouraged to be shared with the family online at www.nealansummers.com
