I am sad to see this obituary. I met Bob when I was Bobby's nurse when he was a patient in the ICU. I worked nights and Bob would hold vigil at his bedside until the wee hours of the morning. We spent much time talking and became fast friends. After Bobby's passing, we stayed in touch for several years. My young sons enjoyed visiting at HG+E. We would arrive with cookies for "the guys" and Bob would show them around and teach them about the machinery. Always welcoming with that big smile on his face. I last saw him when Gloria was in the hospital. I reintroduced myself and once he realized who I was, he just gave me the biggest, most genuine hug. I am truly sorry for the loss of such a good and kind man. I can't imagine the joy he had upon seeing his beloved wife and son when he crossed into Heaven.

I will miss my good friend Bob who I had the opportunity to meet during my walks that brought me through the cemetery where he would walk every day, . We became good friends and I was able to console him after his beloved wife’s death. We talked for hours about everything from family to politics. He was so quiet and gentle and soft spoken. He especially enjoyed talking about his boxing career when he was very young. Even shared a picture. He spoke so warmly about his family and friends. Never a bad word about anyone. When he stopped walking he was sure to keep in touch with me to make sure everything was fine with me. It was a pleasure to have known such a wonderful man. Farewell my friend. You will be missed.
