He was a retired chemical worker from Mobay-Bayer Corporation. Robert held membership at Proctor Christian Church. He was a founding member of Grandview Fire Department and was a firefighter and EMT and served on the Board of the of Ambulance Auth and was a member of Tyler Co. Search and Rescue.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Deborah Monahan Edwards in 2020.
Survivors include his son Casey (Amanda) Edwards of New Martinsville; four daughters, Dawn Ann Edwards of Follansbee, WV, Catherine Thomas of Woodsfield, OH, Melissa Moser Edwards of Shadyside, OH, and Randie (William) King of Clarington, OH; brother John Edwards of New Martinsville, WV: a sister Lea (Dave) Arrick of Rines Ridge; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory 751 Third St. New Martinsville, WV with services being held on Thursday at 1:00 pm at Paden Memorial Garden, Paden City, WV with Pastor Rick Farley officiating.
