Robert Eugene Edwards Sr.

Robert Eugene Edwards Sr., age 65, was born and raised in Columbia, Missouri. He graduated from Hickman High School in 1978 and attended Lincoln University for a short time.
Robert discovered his passion for construction and carpentry early in life, a trade he proudly carried throughout the years. He worked as an independent contractor and alongside his "brother from another mother," Josh Dennison. Known as a true jack of all trades, Bobby could fix just about anything-and even when he couldn't, he was still going to try.
Robert "Bobby" Edwards touched countless lives and leaves behind memories that will be cherished for generations. His unique, loud laugh could fill any room and draw everyone into the moment. Those who knew him well will never forget his love for a good game and how he always stayed ready to "play dem deuces."
Bobby deeply loved and cherished his family, holding them close with a heart as big as it was generous. He would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation-though not without a good-natured argument first. That was Bobby: full of love, humor, and a spirit that could never go unnoticed.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents Mary E. Cross, and George Cross; Tracy Leroy Edwards Jr., Tawanda Joe Edwards, George Jessie Edwards Sr., William Sydney Edwards Sr., Donald Harris.
He is survived by his children: Chanee Edwards (Marlin), Tawanda Lashae Edwards, Robert Eugene Edwards Jr., Jeadawn Cropp, and many other children he played an important role in raising. He is also survived by a special friend, Myra Gooden.
Robert leaves to cherish his memory his beloved grandchildren: Marlin Allen Jr., Jayvion Lambert, Prinston Warren, Unique Allen, Tezawna Triblett, Garrett Murray Jr., Trenton Slayton, Keaton Slayton, and Benjamin Edwards.
He is also survived by his siblings: Michael Lynn Edwards Sr.; LTC (Retired) James Tyrone Edwards Sr. (Shirley); James Simmons; Vanessa Harris; Derrell Harris; and his aunt and family matriarch, Edith Prince (June), along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones who will miss him dearly.
