Robert Gregory "Greg" Ellars

Robert Gregory "Greg" Ellars, 72, of London, died peacefully Sunday, June 18, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Greg was born October 18, 1950, in London, Ohio, the son of Forrest Leroy and Margaret Katherine (Stuckey) Ellars Sr.
Greg was a lifelong resident of London and a1969 graduate of London High School. He was an outstanding football player and received multiple football scholarship offers including offers from Wichita State, Navel Academy, and Marshall, but he chose to fight for his country by joining the United States Navy. Greg was an avid hunter, fisher, golfer, and bowler. He loved his dog, Spanky. Most importantly he was a loving father and grandfather traveling far and wide to never miss one of their activities.
Greg is survived by the love of his life: Nancy Kieffer- Saxour; children: Angel Palmer, Amy Simmons, and Annette (Don) Perkins; Grandchildren: Coty Palmer, Damian Waggoner, Colton Riegel, Scylar Johnson, Dakota Kettel, Eric Johnson, and Dalton Perkins; Great Grandchildren: Ceanna, Shophie, Sterling, and Serenity; Special Niece and Nephew: Steve Ellars and Kay Guenther; The mother of his children: Wanda Rueppel; Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Greg is preceded in death by his Parents; Father and Mother-in-law: Oney and Wallace Douglas; Siblings: Katherine Sharpe, Ruth Keever, Mildred Vaughn, Forrest Ellars Jr., Gene Ellars, and Jim Ellars; Son in law: Paul Simmons; Grandson: Jordan Woods; Brother-in-law: Emery Saxton.
The family invites friends to call at The Lynch Family Funeral Home, 124 East High Street, London, Ohio 43140, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, on Thursday, June 22, 2023, with the funeral service to follow at 11:00am, on Friday, June 23, 2023, at Lynch Family Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Somerford Township Cemetery.
Greg's funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lynch Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 124 East High Street, London, Ohio 43140.
