Robert Ellsworth Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Crawford Family Funeral & Cremation Service - Edmond on Nov. 11, 2023.
Robert Arthur Ellsworth, affectionately known as Bob, was born on March 3, 1947, in Oklahoma City, OK, and peacefully passed away in the same city on November 9, 2023. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin known for his generosity, unwavering commitment, and the wisdom he shared with all who knew him.
Bob was a proud graduate of Harding High School in Oklahoma City. He dedicated his professional life to serving his community as a police detective, a role in which he was both respected and admired. Bob's commitment to his work was unwavering, and he was well known for his tenacity and determination to complete every project to perfection. He would drop anything for anyone, and never expected anything in return. Bob was a pillar of strength and support for his family, always ready to lend a hand or offer advice to those he cared about. He set a great example for his sons and grandchildren.
Outside of his professional life, Bob had a variety of interests that kept him busy. He was a skilled woodworker, a hobby that allowed him to express his creativity and precision. As a ham radio operator, he enjoyed connecting with people around the world. Bob also loved spending time outdoors, working on his land, attending classic car shows, photography, and was also proud of his private pilot license. He enjoyed history and keeping up on current events and discussing both with the people he loved. One of his favorite activities was fishing, especially in Colorado. The Pike's Peak region always called to him.
Above all, Bob was a family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn (Hull) Ellsworth, his sons Matt Hull, Travis Hull, Andrew Ellsworth and his wife Amy, his grandchildren Garrett Hull, Lukas Hull, Dylan Ellsworth, Lila Ellsworth, his sister Nancy Ellsworth Keane, and many other friends and family whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Marjorie Ellsworth.
A Funeral Service will take place at 2:30PM on Monday November, 13, 2023 at Crawford Funeral Service in Edmond, Ok.

Bob, one of the most unique and genuine and good men I ever knew. You never knew what his reaction would be anytime you had an encounter ...but you knew he would be all in and direct. Thank you for all the good you taught me. Love and respect,

We need to burn some polish sausage, peppers and onions, in his honor! Whether is was Bob, turning me upside down for cub scouts or being there for me when my kids were born and even knowing my grandson, Bob showed us how to play hard, work hard, and be about the family. Love you, Man

We love you all so much. Bob will always be alive in our hearts and in our smiles and stories . Bob´s was always larger than life. Joining in whatever "IDEAS" we had. Whether it was painting an old farm house, driving across the state to get `regulation´ type cow chips for an event to make money and provide education through "Deer Creek Farm Tour". He and Marilyn, what a duo, to be first and stay til the last, as true fiends. Kay and Darrell Jones
