Robert Marshall Flagler, a native of Shreveport, Louisiana, was born on August 8, 1942, to Harry Melvin Flagler and Doris Marshall Flagler. He died at 83 years old on February 1, 2026, in Taylorsville, Utah.

Growing up in Shreveport, Robert attended St. Joseph Catholic School, C.E. Byrd High School, and Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA, where he played on the golf team. Robert's childhood home was on Greenway Place, which backed up to the fairways of Querbes Park Golf Course. Robert golfed at Querbes every single day and developed into a champion in the Shreveport junior golf ranks. He even worked in the Querbes pro shop for a short time in the 60's. in the early 70's, he became a member of the PGA, moved to Utah, and worked for various country clubs as a golf professional for many years. Robert's live was all about golf.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Henry Flagler. He is survived by his younger sister Patricia "Patti" Kay Flagler Suckle (Barry); his nephews, Danny Butler of Baton Rouge, LA, Brian Butler (Melanie) of Houston, TX and Aaron Suckle (Katherine) of Shreveport, LA; and seven great-nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank everyone who cared for Robert and assisted in his care until his death. The family is also grateful for the help in returning Robert to Shreveport, where he will be forever next to his parents and maternal grandmother, Catherine Coffee Marshall. Robert will be interred in the family plot at Forest Park Cemetery (East). As per his wishes, there will be no memorial or formal funeral.
